The COVID-19 pandemic made it clear that in the face of a widespread public health emergency, professionals with a variety of skill sets need to be deployed for temporary assignment at a moment's notice.

BeVera Corps is a civilian network of public health and industry professionals who have registered to make themselves available to CDC for short-term emergency assignments. BeVera helps to coordinate this network so that individuals can be deployed as needed during public health emergencies. Establishing this network creates the space to be ready to provide critical resources at a moment's notice to help stop the next pandemic.
